This Refugee Week, ACAVA is partnering with Babylon Migrants Project to host exhibitions in London and Stoke-on-Trent, both showcasing artwork made by young people from refugee, asylum-seeking and migrant backgrounds through Babylon’s creative programmes.

In Stoke-on-Trent, Babylon Migrants Project has been running free weekly workshops at Spode Works Studios since January 2025, offering young people a safe space to create, build confidence and form connections. The exhibition brings together ceramics, textiles and photography made during those sessions, with thanks to hub coordinator Tasha McHugh and guest facilitators FORIJ and Sarah Fraser.

In London, the exhibition at Maxilla Walk Studios will bring together artwork by young people from Babylon’s programmes across the city, alongside an evening of food, music and conversation with the wider Maxilla community.

These exhibitions are an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of people seeking sanctuary and to create space for meaningful encounter.
