This Refugee Week, ACAVA is hosting two exhibitions in partnership with Babylon Migrants Project – one at Maxilla Walk Studios, London, and one at Spode Works Studios in Stoke-on-Trent.
Both showcase artwork made by young people from refugee, asylum-seeking and migrant backgrounds through Babylon’s creative programmes.
Refugee Week 2026 Stoke

Since January 2025, Babylon Migrants Project’s Stoke-on-Trent hub has been running free weekly workshops for young people from refugee, asylum-seeking and migrant backgrounds, offering a safe space to create, build confidence and form connections. This Refugee Week, a group exhibition at Spode Works Studios will showcase ceramics, textiles and photography made during those sessions.
The launch event on Friday 12 June will include food, drinks and music. The exhibition will remain open on Saturday 13 June, 12–4pm.

Join us at ACAVA Maxilla for an evening of creativity, connection and celebration with Babylon Migrants Project. The exhibition showcases artwork created by young people who take part in Babylon’s creative programmes across London, sharing stories, experiences and perspectives through their work.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be food, music and opportunities to meet members of the Babylon community and connect with others from across our wider Maxilla network – including the communities that are part of ACAVA’s Maxilla Men’s Shed, Make & Reuse and Cultivate Create programmes.
