Evie Davis, one of three winners of this year’s ACAVA Studios Artist Development Prize, will undergo a month-long residency at ACAVA Spode Works Studios.

The residency will run between 22 October and 22 November 2022 and will offer a platform for Evie to make use of an artist’s studio, plan an exhibition of her recent work, and organise a Photo Walk around the Spode site.

In partnership with Keele University and this year’s Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, the three winning artists will each benefit from a one-month-long residency at our studios in Stoke-on-Trent within the next three months.

The ACAVA Studios Artist Development Prize is a career development opportunity that supports artists with the use of a studio for four weeks each to explore, expand, and develop their practice within a thriving community of established artists and creatives at ACAVA Spode Works Studios.

The residencies will offer professional development opportunities in the form of public engagement, and co-creation of public-facing outcomes such as artist talks, exhibitions, group crits and artist workshops.

The three winning artists were selected from a pool of 43 entries for the prize, among 120 successful entries to the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition at Keele University.

Evie won the ACAVA Staff Choice Prize with the piece ‘Trentham Haze’. Learn more about the other prize-winners here.
