Winners of Keele Uni/ACAVA’s artist prize in 2022 announced

We are thrilled to announce that the winners of this year’s ACAVA Studios Artist Development Prize are Evie Davis, Mark Lippett and Phil Mellanby.

In partnership with Keele University and this year’s Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, the winning artists will each benefit from a one-month-long residency at our studios in Stoke-on-Trent.

The ACAVA Studios Artist Development Prize is a career development opportunity that supports artists with the use of an open studio for four weeks each to explore, expand, and develop their practice within a thriving community of established artists and creatives at ACAVA Spode Works Studios.

The residencies will offer professional development opportunities in the form of public engagement, and co-creation of public-facing outcomes such as artist talks, exhibitions, group crits and artist workshops.

The winning artists were selected from a pool of 43 entries to the prize, among 120 successful entries to the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition at Keele University.
