Finding affordable art studios in London can be challenging. Studio costs continue to rise, and many artists need a workspace that is both affordable and suitable for their practice.

For over 50 years, ACAVA has provided affordable studio space for artists, makers and creative practitioners. Today, we support more than 400 artists through a network of studio buildings across London, Essex and Stoke-on-Trent.

Studio space across London

ACAVA manages 14 studio buildings in East, North, South and West London, as well as sites in Ardleigh, Essex and Stoke-on-Trent.

Each building is different. Some are located in converted industrial buildings, while others are based in parks, community hubs or historic sites. Studios vary in size and layout, from smaller individual workspaces to larger studios with room for more space-intensive practices.

New studios become available throughout the year, and many can be applied for straight away.

What does an ACAVA studio offer?

Studios are available on affordable, long-term licenses and support a wide range of creative practices.
