Cultivate Create spring/summer 2026

Cultivate Create is back for spring and summer 2026, a welcoming and creative programme where families in North Kensington can grow food, explore nature, and enjoy free play together.
This season, ACAVA is excited to welcome sound artist Martin Osman as artist-in-residence. Across June and July, Martin will be working with families to share recipes, stories and journeys in the garden, developing art and sound together, rooted in the life of Maxilla Walk Gardens.

Sessions run twice a month on Saturdays, 12.30–4.30pm.

Join the programme
Artist residency with Martin Osman
Sound artist Martin Osman will be joining Cultivate Create sessions in June and July, leading hands-on creative activities in the first two hours of each session. Martin works with the sounds of people, nature and machines, drawing out voices, memories and stories embedded in places and communities.
With Cultivate Create families, he’ll be exploring recipes, personal stories and experiences of the garden, and developing art and sound together.
Martin will be present at all four sessions in June and July. The first two hours of each session will focus on creative activities with Martin; the final two hours are relaxed drop-in time in the garden, open and welcoming to all.
