Home » Blechynden Street Open Studios 28 June

Join us for a day of open studios at ACAVA Blechynden Street Studios and explore creativity in your community.
As part of ACAVA Opens, meet local artists, visit their workspaces, and discover a range of creative practices including painting, sculpture, film, multimedia, and textiles. Whether you’re interested in learning about the creative process, browsing original artwork for sale, or simply enjoying a creative afternoon, there’s something for everyone.
This year’s programme features a special poetry reading by Sue Hubbard, poet, novelist, and freelance art critic. Drawing from collections that explore the lives of artists and scientists, including God’s Little Artist (Gwen John) and Radium Dreams (Marie Curie), Hubbard offers a unique poetic lens on creativity.
The studios are a short walk from Latimer Road and Ladbroke Grove Tube stations, making it easy to enjoy a day of art, local parks, and the vibrant North Kensington neighbourhood.
This event is part of Art Week FRINGE, a satellite programme of Kensington and Chelsea Art Week.

About ACAVA Opens
ACAVA Opens is a series of open studio events held across ACAVA’s buildings. These events aim to make creative practices accessible to the public, offering a chance to engage with artists in their working environments.
For over 50 years, ACAVA has been providing affordable studio spaces for artists and delivering a wide range of arts education and community programmes. Events like ACAVA Opens allow us to connect professional artists with the wider public, foster local creative industries, and help build more connected and vibrant communities through the arts.
