Cultivate Create is ACAVA’s free family gardening and creative outdoor programme in North Kensington. Families come together to grow food, make art, explore nature, and enjoy creative time outdoors. Sessions are welcoming, hands-on, and perfect for children of all ages.
Half-term Halloween special
This October half-term, join us for a special trip to Hyde Park Learning Centre for Hair Raising Halloween on Tuesday 28 October, 10.45am–3pm. Expect autumnal fun in a unique, eco-friendly setting in the heart of Hyde Park, with spooky, seasonal activities for families.Saturday family sessions
Alongside the half-term trip, Cultivate Create continues with regular Saturday sessions at Maxilla Walk Studios, North Kensington. Activities include:
- Gardening from seed to harvest
- Nature-based arts and crafts
- Free play at Maxilla Forest School
- Relaxed peer-led garden time
- Seasonal highlights such as bonfires and pond dipping

About Cultivate Create
Now in its third year, Cultivate Create offers families in North Kensington a chance to connect with nature, spend creative time together, and learn gardening skills. Led by gardener Maria Cabrera with support from Dannielle Jemmott, the programme nurtures wellbeing and creativity through seasonal activities, crafts, and trips.
Spaces are limited. Priority is given to families with children with SEND, those living in North Kensington, or with children attending a local primary school.
