ACAVA Community Makerspace
& Maxilla Men’s Shed
4 Maxilla Walk, London W10 6NQ
Free, all welcome
As we approach the 9th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire, we invite the community to gather for an afternoon of reflection, remembrance, justice, and care before the Silent Walk.
This year’s gathering centres around the theme of Justice.
The afternoon will include:
- Justice-themed archive materials and local histories shared by Dhelia Snoussi
- A gentle drop-in cyanotype activity facilitated by Cordelia Cembrowicz
- Refreshments, conversation, quiet reflection, and space to be together
North Kensington Social Justice Archivist Dhelia Snoussi will share a selection of justice-themed archive materials and local histories, creating space to reflect on memory, collective voice, and the ongoing call for justice.
Local artist Cordelia Cembrowicz will facilitate a gentle cyanotype activity throughout the afternoon. Participants are welcome to take part at their own pace and create something to take away with them.
This gathering is intended as a gentle and welcoming community space. We recognise that the Grenfell Anniversary can bring feelings of grief, anger, reflection, and remembrance, and that everyone experiences this time differently. Please feel welcome to engage in whatever way feels most comfortable for you — whether that is taking part in activities, spending quiet time in the space, connecting with others, or simply dropping in for a moment of pause before the Silent Walk.
Members of the Grenfell Health and Wellbeing team will be present throughout the afternoon to help support a respectful, caring, and supportive environment for all.
From here, people may choose to walk together, or individually, to the Silent Walk later that evening.
All are welcome.
