Young Artists Celebration

Date: 7 April 2021

Today we celebrated the end of the first term of the Young Artists programme, and the participants, families and team behind the programme were able to meet in person for the first time since January.

The first phase of the course was led by artist Gal Leshem, who guided the participants to experiment with different materials and explore themes of belonging, heritage and identity as well as sharing their own cultural traditions.

Gal Leshem is currently showing 'Looking for Rubia Tinctorum', a solo exhibition at Huxley-Parlour Gallery where she explores the role of local folklore and material culture in the creation of identity, belonging and orientation. The exhibition is on view until 30 April, more information here.
