YAP Summer Term Open Call

Young Artists Programme (YAP) is an ACAVA project for children aged 7-11 living in North Kensington, delivered over the course of the school year.

Each term, a small cohort of young people co-create with a visiting professional artist to explore what art is and can be, by experimenting with new materials and processes.

YAP encourages young people to develop their ideas playfully as well as enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, whilst offering a deeper understanding of visual art practice. The project might include trips to art galleries, Covid regulations permitting, as well as the chance to gain an Arts Award Discover.

YAP is supported by the Grenfell Projects Fund, a funding stream from Kensington and Chelsea Council, focused on enhancing the lives of those impacted by the Grenfell Tower fire.

Open Call

YAP's summer term will be led by artist Anna Reading. Anna will guide participants through an exploration of worldly and other-worldly landscapes by using a broad range of materials, animation and sound techniques. You can visit Anna's website here.

You can book your child's free place here. Places are limited and need to be booked in advance in order for us to comply with Covid-safe government guidelines.
