This Weekend Open Studios Continues and Brings Free Workshops

This weekend ACAVA Open Studios continues with four of our buildings opening their doors to the public, alongside special events organised by resident artists and ACAVA.

Barham Park Studios will open its studio doors for the first time since the building's inauguration late September last year. As part of the inaugural Barham Park Open Studios Weekend and Art In The Park 2015 artist Raksha Patel will run the last instalment of her workshop 'Botanical Paints and Print Making' for over 55s. The session will happen this Saturday morning, 10.30am-12.30pm at the Community Art Studio in the main building. Patel's workshop is one in a series of three Summer workshops alongside artists Ursula Kelly and Joshua Bilton which will all culminate in an exhibition concurrent with the open studios, also open to the public.

On the same weekend at Gatehouse Arts resident artist Ollie Brown and Inkstain Studios will be organising a free screen printing workshop open to the visitors of the show. The workshop will run from the common room of Gatehouse Arts on both days from 1 to 3pm, and is suitable for people of all ages.
