We Are Joining the #ArtIsEssential Campaign

We need creativity now more than ever to support each other and therefore ACAVA is joining the #ArtIsEssential campaign.

The arts and culture sector contributes £2.8 billion a year to the Treasury, via taxation, and the UK economy and creates 363,700 jobs but recent events have exposed the delicate ecology of our sector, leaving it vulnerable.

We need to ensure that policy and decision makers are considering the real needs of our sector and see the far reaching impact the arts has in our communities and the contribution it makes to our economy.

The campaign has been set up to highlight the importance of the arts and culture sector throughout 2021 and in the run-up to the Government Comprehensive Spending Review, and to demonstrate that #ArtIsEssential.
