Venture Photography: 10 week walking and photography groups for the community

We are delighted to announce two new projects in partnership with the Venture Community Association.

In September two new 10 week photography projects will start at the Venture Centre. Artists Denise Semple and paula roush will be leading the sessions which will offer the opportunity for local people (aged 18+) to learn about different aspects of creative photography and visual story-telling.

Denise Semple will lead ‘Pace Photography’ running on Thursday mornings, 10:30am – 12:30pm from 15th September. She said of the planned project, "Pace Photography is for anyone interested in walking, photos, local history, making friends and fun! All skills levels are welcome. We started this group to meet people who enjoy strolling, selfies and sharing stories. Looking forward to exploring the Golborne area and taking pictures with you".”

paula roush, who teaches photobook publishing at the School of Art and Creative Industries, London South Bank University, will lead the 10 week Photobook Projectaddressing time, place, memory and a sense of history through walking and photographing the Golborne area. These sessions will run on Saturday mornings, 10:30am – 12:30pm on 24th September.

Both projects are funded by RBKC through Public Health and are a partnership between the Venture Community Association and ACAVA.
