Update on Our Programmes in North Kensington

Date: 3 March 2021

Following the Government’s roadmap out of the current lockdown, we have outlined some key dates below with plans for our reintroduction of in-person activity in North Kensington.

Maxilla Men’s Shed is currently open but with limited capacity. It is providing support to members and working on a special commission to support bio-diversity across the borough. View the Maxilla Men’s Shed page here.

From 29 March 2021

The Young Artists Programme will be holding an outdoor celebration of work done online during the school’s Spring Term with artist Gal Leshem. We will also be organising a taster session and open call for new participants with artist Anna Reading, who will be taking over from Gal and lead the Young Artists Programme during the school’s Summer Term. View the Young Artists Programme page here.

We will be holding a premiere of the films created by local families during our Resilience in Motion programme, delivered online with the Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service. View the Resilience in Motion page here.

Artspace Link, our peer mental health studio project, will resume in-person sessions at Blechynden St. Learn more about the project here.

From 19 April 2021

Grenfell Memorial Community Mosaic workshops will also resume. By June 2021 Golborne and Maxilla Nursery, Colville, Oxford Gardens, Barlby and Bevington Primary Schools and Grenfell United will have completed the final leaves of Phase 2 of the project. Learn more about this project here.

From 17 May 2021

We will be celebrating Creativity and Wellbeing Week from 17 to 23 May and will organise an open event at our Maxilla Studios. You will be able to visit the Maxilla Men’s Shed and get creative with the team behind our Flourish, Young Artists and Resilience in Motion programmes.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back into our buildings!
