Studios in Stoke-on Trent

ACAVA has aquired a lease on premises in the former Spode Works in Stoke-on-Trent, and in a collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Arts Council England, will over the next 6 months convert them to provide 41 artists' studios.

The 11 acre site, which includes buildings dating from the early days of the pottery in the eighteenth century, is being regenerated as a major cultural hub. The British Ceramics Biennial is already established on the site, and with the addition of studios, student accommodation and other arts organisations, it is set to become an important centre of creative energy.
