North Kensington: Artspace for All

We are pleased to announce that ACAVA is working in partnership with NHS CNWL to deliver a summer of arts taster sessions for adults living in North Kensington.

CNWL is an NHS Foundation Trust that provides many services, but mainly mental health. The Grenfell Outreach Team was set up by CNWL in response to the fire to provide emotional support to those affected - mainly, those who survived; who have been bereaved; or witnessed the incident. However, we will support anyone who has been affected, and work in partnership with a large therapy team, plus a child and adolescent team. The Outreach Team is a well-being service, focusing on identifying possible trauma symptoms; providing emotional support; and supporting people into therapy where appropriate.

Between July 26th and September 1st 2018, 6 individual artists will each deliver two 2-hour workshops. The first session will take place at ACAVA’s Blechynden St Studio 1, and the second at The Curve Community Centre. The sessions will be supported by a CNWL mental health professional.
