My Life in Art art competition for 5–16 years old

The competition

ACAVA's alumni Frederick Phillips and Pat Phillips are organising an art competition for children aged between 5 and 16 years old called ‘My Life in Art’.

Children are invited to enter an artwork which shares their feelings about life in Staffordshire during the past four months. Artwork could be about family, pets, hobbies or their overall feelings about life since March 2020.

The winner will be able to purchase their choice of art materials and all entries will be displayed online and in the exhibition space at the ACAVA Spode Works Studios in Stoke-on-Trent.

To apply email a photo of one artwork to fredphillipsart@icloud.com by Sunday 13 September.

Drop off or post your unframed artwork (maximum size A3 or 30cm x 42cm) between 17-24 September, to Dan Southward at The Lodge, Spode Works, Elenora Street, Stoke-upon-Trent, ST4 1QD.

From 25 September a panel of artists from ACAVA Spode Work Studios will judge the entries.

On 2 October the winners will be announced and the exhibition of all entries will open at ACAVA Spode Work Studios (date and times to be confirmed)

This competition has been organised and arranged by Frederick Phillips, Pat Phillips, Dan Southward, Andy Cliffe and a panel of judges from the ACAVA Spode Works Studios and has been made possible with support from ACAVA and The Arts Council England.
