Green for Grenfell Day: 7 to 14 June 2021

Monday 14 June 2021 will mark four years since the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

Communities in North Kensington are organising Green for Grenfell Day, an event held between 7 and 14 June where locals and others make use of green colour gel and solar spotlights to bring green light to local households and businesses.

Local artists will be decorating the route of the Silent Walk with green hearts, messages of love and solidarity, and light.

ACAVA will be joining the local community in decorating the Silent Walk, and we will also be greening our Blechynden Street Studios, Maxilla Studios, and Maxilla Men's Shed. We have also invited our artists across the country to help with the campaign, by adding a green heart to their studios' windows.

How to get involved:

  • Place a green heart on your window or building between 7 and 14 June
  • Create a green heart, light design, or message of love and solidarity and install it along the route of the Silent Walk (Lancaster Road, Ladbroke Grove, Bramley Road and Silchester Road) from Friday 11 June and throughout the weekend. If you would like to contribute to the installation with your own design but can't go and install it yourself, contact GreenForGrenfell here.
  • Share images of your contribution using the tag #GreenForGrenfellDay
