Government support for self-employed workers

Dear artists,

The UK government has announced a new scheme to safeguard self-employed workers following the COVID-19 pandemic. This support will come into effect in June 2020 and can be backdated to 1 March 2020. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Self-employment Income Support Scheme will allow you to claim a taxable grant worth 80% of your trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months. It may be extended if needed. In the meantime you might be eligible for other government coronavirus support packages such as the Universal Credit Increase, deferral of Self Assessment income tax payments due in July 2020, or grants for businesses that pay little or no business rates.

More information on this scheme can be found on the government's website:

We wish you are all keeping well and safe.
