The Flourish plastic bottle cap artwork is being unveiled

The Flourish plastic bottle cap artwork is complete and has been installed on the Maxilla railings. You are invited to see the work and celebrate this community project on Tuesday 16 October from 4pm to 6pm at Maxilla Studios, 4 Maxilla Walk W10 (the former Children's Centre under the Westway).
This is an opportunity for us to say thank you to the numerous businesses, cafes, schools, voluntary organisations, residents, and those who live further afield, who have collected over 40,000 bottle caps for the project, the many volunteers who have made weekly trips to the cafes to collect the caps, the teenagers, parents and Volunteering on Prescription members who sorted all the caps into colour groups, the families who helped design and fabricate the artwork, locals who have volunteered their time to drill all the caps on to the boards; and to artist Tomomi Yoshida who has worked tirelessly to see this project through from beginning to end.

Refreshments will be served. All welcome. To confirm your presence please email Lisa on lnash@acava.org
