Artists are invited to apply for the following public art commissions for spaces in Islington, London – with no application fees.
The Cally: Lighting commission – to be installed beneath a rail bridge on the
Caledonian Road, 2k north of Kings Cross, as part of urban streetscape
improvements for the area known locally as ‘The Cally’.
Commissioner: London Borough of Islington
Total budget: £52k inclusive of fees.
Deadline for applications: 16 Dec 2014.
The Cally: Cycle Rack commission – for a significant on-street artwork that can
function as a cycle rack to be installed in the Caledonian Road near the rail bridge as
part of urban streetscape improvements for the area known locally as ‘The Cally’.

Total budget: £20k inclusive of fees.
Deadline for applications: 16 Dec 2014
Sussex Way Waste Bins commission – for a significant on-street artwork that can
function as an enclosure for recycling bins on the busy and culturally diverse Seven
Sisters Road as part of urban streetscape improvements.
Commissioner: London Borough of Islington
Total budget: £30k inclusive of fees.
