Artists wanted to deliver a range of innovative and diverse community workshops in the London Borough of Merton

Working in partnership with Merton Council ACAVA are looking to recruit a pool of member artists to deliver workshops for families and young people in a variety of community contexts from late 2014 and throughout 2015.

The first event, on 27th November will take place on Mitcham Fair Green, between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, to accompany the switching on of the Christmas Lights and a free, sing along, screening of Disney’s ‘Frozen’. We are looking for an artist to deliver a drop in creative activity for families, suitable for outdoor winter weather, celebrating a winter theme (please note that due to licensing laws no Disney themed activities are permitted).

The second event will run in the February half term (16th – 20th February 2015, venue and exact date TBC) and will a ‘Taster’ event for families and young people in Merton to come and try out a range of drop in creative activities. Feedback from the event will inform further programming of arts workshops and projects throughout 2015 to accompany major events in the borough including:

•           Merton 50th Anniversary Events
•           Mitcham Carnival
•           Commonwealth Day
•           Wimbledon Tennis Championship 2015
