Artist talk by Jose Carlos Naranjo Bernal, Griffin Art Prize Iberia winner

After six intense weeks residency at Griffin Gallery Jose Carlos Naranjo, winner of the Griffin Art Prize Iberia 2014, presented the work in a solo show in Seville, Spain. Now, back in London, he will be in conversation with

Mathew Gibson, resident artist at Griffin Gallery and will be talking about his career, the experience of the Residency and contextualising his work within Contemporary Andalusian Art.

Griffin Art Prize Iberia supports emerging artists at the most critical point in their careers by offering short term residencies in a purpose built studio above the gallery space in west London. International residencies include a mentor, sourced by ACAVA.

Born in Villamartin near Seville, this is José’s first time in London but the residency opportunity has already borne fruit for him with an inclusion in a high profile group exhibition at Beers Contemporary and a solo show titled Orden y Desorden at Galería Birimbao of Seville.

Join us on Monday 27th April, from 6.30pm. Please RSVP to info@forumarts.org.uk
