ACAVA London Creativity and Wellbeing Week

ACAVA opens the doors of Studio 1, our purpose built community art studio at our Blechynden Street studios in North Kensington.

Thursday 7 June 11am–1pm

In the morning everyone is welcome to come along, meet some of our artists and have a go at a creative activity, including mosaic (with Emily Fuller), print-making (with Heather Martin) and drawing (with Susan Sluglett).

All activities are free and refreshments will be provided; everyone is welcome to drop in.

We will also be launching the programme for upcoming projects as part of our NHS WLCCG funded Art for Wellbeing Everyday (AWE) project

Thursday 7 June 2–4pm

In the afternoon we will be sitting down with colleagues and partners we are working with in North Kensington, to reflect on the many creative initiatives that have developed, supporting local people affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

We will be talking about our FlourishArt Therapy West and Art for Wellbeing projects, and hearing from special guests Susan Rudnick, founder of Latimer Community Art Therapy and Sophie Lodge, the artist behind the #24hearts project.

The afternoon event is free, but due to limited capacity it will be ticketed, priority will be given to people living or working in North Kensington. Places can be reserved online here.
