Flourish in the Forest

Thanks to support from the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation, in partnership with the Kusuma Trust, we are able to offer local families exclusive access to the wonderful Maxilla Forest School to explore, play, picnic and get creative.

Priority will be given to those families living in cramped conditions with no access to private outside space, and we will be offering a combination of one-off sessions and regular weekly bookings.

The garden is a private gated space that was originally set up as an outdoor learning resource for Maxilla Nursery. Since 2015, it has been operating as a Forest School for local primary schools. ACAVA has kindly been granted the use of the space for Flourish in the Forest by Golborne and Maxilla Nursery Schools during the coronavirus restrictions and will be working closely with them to ensure their school community are able to benefit from the programme too.

If you would like to find out more about Flourish in the Forest, please email our Programme Manager here, and if you would like to register your interest, please tell us a little more about your circumstances here.

Words from our participants

"We don't have a garden, so during that first lockdown, being able to access that space, once a week, really was a really important outlet for us. [...] So it just felt like a safe space to just enjoy being outside…"
